Here is Rewind #1, in which I sum up where I am today. I rushed it a bit, so I hope things will get smoother as I go back in time.

Where Do I Begin?

I think a lot about digital storytelling for students. I think I need to set more of an example. Therefore I have chosen this space to tell my story. The question was where to begin.

Most people seem to believe that the beginning is the most logical place to start. I am not going to do that. I am going to start with this moment in time. It is 1:06 in the morning on September 2, 2006. What am I doing up this late? Well, I am thinking about my life and the story I want told about it. I am 47 years old and expect to be around quite a bit longer, but who knows. I want my children and my grandchildren and so on to know about me. So here I will write and leave a trail of video breadcrumbs through my past.

What I am doing is not unique in today’s world, but it is unique for me and it is for me and my posterity that I am doing this. I don’t know enough about my father and his father and well we don’t really know what happened to his father. You get the picture.

This is a new adventure for me, but one I am looking forward to. If you want to come on the wayback machine with me feel free. The biggest question I am asking myself right now is what happens when I get to the beginning.
